Salar de Uyuni Tour
1 DAY TOUR
This tour embarks at approximately
10 in the morning, and with the help of a Toyota Landcruiser, takes you and the rest of your party deep
into the salt flats. As well as just seeing the baron salt lake, you will visit Colchani and venture out to
Isla Incahuasi, a cacti covered island in the middle of the desert.

Note:
The only things you will need are a lot of camera film and some water. The cost of the tour is determined
by the number of people you manage to organise to go with. The more full the van the cheaper it is for you.
You can be sure to meet many like minded travellers in Uyuni, so don´t worry about there being too
few of you.
2 DAY TOUR
Day 1
The first day of the tour encompasses all that is covered on the one day tour we provide, plus instead of
returning back to Uyuni in the evening you are taken to our special eco lodge in Bella Vista.
You will spend the night here on the edge of the flats enjoying the scenery and fantastic views of the flats
in the distance.
Day 2
The second day of the tour includes hiking around the Bella Vista area out to Chullpas an Inka cemetary,
before returning to Uyuni via the surreal train graveyard just outside of town, where many trains rest
rusting away in a very open landscape.

4 DAYS TOUR
Day 1
The first day ventures firstly to Cochani, an area of the salt flats where ice cold healing water bubbles
through the salt originating from an underground river caused by Tunupa volcano.
The trip is then made over the seeminglessly endless expanse of the Salar De Uyuni, where you can feel
thoroughly lost and take some amusing photos. The next stop is Isla Incahuasi, an island in the middle of
the salt flats ladden with cacti. The final stint of the day is the trip to the Bella Vista lodge to enjoy
fantastic views, a good meal and your first nights sleep.
Day 2
The second day of the tour involves moving through the desert of Siloli, an area of true zen like tranquility.
Here you will see the famous Arbol de Piedra Canapa, Hedionda, Chiar Kota and Ramaditas. From here you will
venture into Laguna Colorada Park, where you will surprisingly enough get to see... Laguna Colarada!
This lake measures 52 Km in circumference and glows red in the day light. You will find it difficult
to notice the huge chunk of Borax or at least one of the 30,000 resident flamingos.
Day 3
Day three takes you first of all to some natural geisers. Feel free to touch the steam but don´:t breath
it in unless you like sulphur! The next stop is the hot springs where you can take a dip to warm your soul
naturally, on the provision you have a swim suit of course. Drink your coffee immersed in the springs,
overlooking the Laguna Challviri, not such a bad life!.
The third stop of the day is the Laguna Verde, which is a green/blue lake with the backdrop of Volcan
Lincancahur. from here you have two choices, cross the border into Chile and finish the tour, or continue the
tour returning to Uyuni the next day, it all depends on your route.
If you should decide to continue with the tour, you will then be driven to Valle De Las Rocas, for a taste of
true cowboy landscape before spending the night in Alota.
Day 4
The fourth day involves a longish drive back to Uyuni through startling scenery, where on route you will
get to see a Borax refinery and also the amazing train graveyard just outside of Uyuni itself.

The only things you will need are a lot of camera film, water, your passport, a sleeping bag for the
winter months and some sun tan lotion.
