National Museum of Archaeology
It represents the cultural richness of Bolivia. It has anthropology and archaeology collections.
It is located in Ingavy province 70 Km. from La Paz city. It has about 3.500 archaeology objects.
Inside the museum there are impressive stone sculptures as the Kalasasaya Temple, Ponce Monolith, the Gate of the sun, the Gate of the moon. It also has a great amount of vessels, pitchers, and sculpted clays.

They show art in sculptures, vessels, paintings, and other objects.

National Museum of Art
It is located inside a building of XIII century; it has baroque style and belongs to Tadeo Diez de Medina. It is one of the best civil architecture of XIII century.
It exhibits many paintings, sculpture and furniture collections of contemporary art.

It has permanent exhibitions in each one of the following rooms: Furniture and Sculpture Room, Painting Room, Art of XX Century Room.
It also makes temporary exhibitions such as conferences about the different century’s art
, the most known painters and all referred to Bolivian paintings.

Casa Núñez del Prado Museum
The Museum has sculptures of Marina Núñez del Prado. It was created to preserve, protect and manage the colonial art, the contemporary painting. It preserves handcrafts and silver objects, jewels; and a great number of paintings.

It has Palaeontology, Archaeology, Mineralogy areas, inside Palaeontology area there are 700 objects for exhibition.
Archaeology Saipina Museum
It is an Archaeology and rock art museum. It was opened in 1988 and is dependent of Saipina. It has archaeology objects exhibitions, rock art of the region, ceramics and more objects collections.

Archaeological Museum UMSS
San Simón university museum was created in 1959 by the anthropologist Dick Edgar. This place has more than 40.000 archaeological objects coming from Cochabamba and the rest of the departments. It is a cultural richness representation, since it shows palaeontology and anthropology objects in chronological order.

National History Museum Alcide D´Orbigni
It is a national history museum has educative and cultural purposes. It is dedicated to research, conservation and spreading of natural sciences; it has as area for dinosaur fossils, crocodiles, turtles, and the rest of the mammals and birds.

Martín Cárdenas Museum
It is a cultural place, actually renovated. It is Martín Cárdenas house; keeps innumerable cactus researches and souvenirs.

Santa Teresa Convent Museum
Religious museum, located in the historic centre of Cochabamba, was built at the beginning of 1760, under the orders of Santiago Cambiaso, architect and Jesuit. The walls are three meters thick; it has cobbled floor and “musieras” tiles.
The museum is a good alternative for religious tourism, because is a jewel of colonial architecture in Bolivia, reflecting religious history. The National Monument is not only Bolivia’s proud, but also Latino America’s.

Recoleta Museum
Recoleta Museum was opened in 1972. It has a great religious objects collection, colonial paintings, sculpture, archaeology remains and all concerning colonial and republican art. In the middle of the convent there is a thousand-year- old cedar tree.

University Museum
Specialized museum in preservation and exhibition of archaeology remains of Bolivia’s south.

Santa Clara Museum
It is located in Santa Clara convent inside the church. The exhibited art works as: Biti and Motufar paintings, anonymous sculptures, furniture, musical instruments, and different liturgical objects comes from the convent.
Casa de la Moneda
"La Casa de la moneda" is one of the most visited places, since it is a reflection of Bolivian history and culture.
The money centre was created because of the silver richness of “Cerro Rico de Potosí” and the trade expansion.
This museum exhibit coins, medals and paintings collections; famous sculptures like El Cristo Atado, Santa Barbara, colonial silver objects and archaeology of Tiwuanacu culture as “chullpas”, weapons, fossils, and furniture. It also exhibit native fabrics related with the ethnography and folklore.

Palaeontology Archaeology Museum
Natural sciences museum, it exhibits palaeontology objects and archaeology remains of Tarija, mammal's fossils, mineralogy, anthropology, and archaeology collections. It has been working since 1940 and is dependent of Juan Misael Saracho University. It has mammals' fossils, invertebrates, mineralogy, anthropology and archaeology collections.

Minero Del Socavón Museum
The Miner Museum is a repository dedicated to thematic about mineral extraction and miner traditions. It is located inside an antique mine.
It has machinery, instruments, photos, maps, minerals and all concerning miner work.
