La Paz

Murillo Square

Murillo Square is dedicated to Pedro Domingo Murillo. In the middle there is a monument in memory to the martyr. Surroundings is located the Presidential Palace and the cathedral.

Valley of the Moon

It is located from 20 Km away the city.
The erosion made it incredible shapes similar to a moon valley.

Nuestra Señora de La Paz Cathedral

The cathedral has neoclassic style. It was built in 1831, inside it there are "Corintio” style columns.


Santa Cruz

Mariposario and Orquideario

One of the most impressive attractions in Santa Cruz is the biggest butterfly collection, you will be impressed by the exotic butterflies that have. Some people name it butterfly paradise because of the beautiful environment.
It also has a great collection of orchids, lagoons, natural swimming pools worthy of admiration.
It is located on Porongo Street Km 7

Noel Kempf Mercado Zoo

The zoo is a recreational place; it has a great amount of animals. This zoo is the unique one specialized in South American fauna.

El Arenal Park

The lagoon and island are the touristy attraction in the zone.

Casa Municipal de la Cultura

Raúl Otero Cultural House has art exhibitions, conferences, and other cultural activities. It was built in honour to the writer Raúl Otero.

San Roque Church

It is an architectonic temple with style of XIX century; it has wood framework and external eaves.


Cochabamba

El cristo de la concordia

“El Cristo de la Concordia” is one of the most representative icons in the city; since it is the biggest statue in the world. It is located on the top of San Pedro hill. It was built in 1989.
When you go up on the top you can have a panoramic view of the city. It has a “teleférico”, a better access mean for visitors.

Alalay Lagoon

It is considered a legendary lagoon of Cochabamba, located on the southwest of the city. Surrounding area has 7 Km approximately; it has two routes one for running and another one for riding bicycle. It also has places for having rest, and many beautiful birds live around the lagoon.

Heroínas de la Coronilla Monument

The monument is located on San Sebastian hill; it was built in homage to May 27 in 1812, when women battled against Goyeneche. From the summit you can enjoy a panoramic view.

National Park Tunari

It is located on the north of the city. It is one of the most known attractions by the mountain which has 5,020 meters high. In this place you can do outdoor activities as camping, trekking and more.


Sucre

Casa de la Libertad

It is considered historic monument. Many historic facts happened there, like the Independence.
It was built in 1621. Nowadays it is located in 25 de Mayo square.

Potosi

Cerro Rico de Potosí

Cerro Rico de Potosí is one of the most known by its silver and tin richness. It has more than 5.000 mine shafts and holes which are interconnected forming labyrinths.

Artificial Lagoons

They were created in 1975 to accumulate water in raining season, then supply in dry seasons. The main lagoons are: Chaviri, Pisco Cocha, San Idelfonso y Laccka Chaca.

Copacabana Temple

It was built in XVII century. Its façade is worthy of being admired by visitors.

Casa de la Moneda

Casa de la Moneda is one of the most visited places, since it is a reflection of Bolivian history and culture.
The money centre was created because of the silver richness of “Cerro Rico de Potosí” and the trade expansion.
This museum exhibit coins, medals and paintings collections; famous sculptures like El Cristo Atado, Santa Barbara, colonial silver objects and archaeology of Tiwuanacu culture as “chullpas”, weapons, fossils, and furniture. It also exhibit native fabrics related with the ethnography and folklore.

Tarija

Metropolitan Cathedral

This cathedral was built in 1810. Long time ago it was church and college for Jesuits. The religious museum is near it.

San Roque Church

The most attractive characteristic of the church is its architectonic construction. It has a balcony that was a vigilance place. Inside it, people worship to San Roque. It is the most popular festivity in Tarija.

San Lorenzo

San Lorenzo is located 16 Km away. It is Eustaquio Mendez home town. It has colonial and Spaniard style, cobbled streets, buildings with balconies and the Mendez house (considered historic museum).

Chorros de Jurina

This spurts are a natural attraction. Its waters fall 40 meters high, forming different colours according the sun position and the sunshine. It is located 21Km away


Oruro

Santuario de Socavón

The temple was built in 1781. Inside is the Socavon Virgin.

San Francisco Church

Its style belongs to XVII centure.


Beni

Trinidad Cathedral

It is one of the historic heritages of Beni. The cathedral has a sanctuary that contains valuable objects as Nuestra Señora de Belen painting made in Cuzco, the nativity scene of Jesus and other valuables.

They are colonial churches with XVII style, on the walls there are paintings, pulpits with wood bars. It conserves the architectonic style of missions’ epoch.

Rurrenabaque

It is an exotic village, where you find many sculptures of snakes and other animals on the granite rock (El Cañón de Bala).
It is the most wonderful place in Amazonian zone. It has a lot of rivers where you can fish gold surubis, capús and more. In this place there are many animals and is like a paradise.
