Tourism Adventure in Bolivia

Roads of the Inca

It is a combination of adventure tourism and archeological tourism.

· El Choro
From the high altitudes of the eastern Mountain range one of the most beautiful before Columbus roads departs, and it is in good condition. This road was part of the way system, that coming from Tiwanaku it connected the plateau with Yungas (a tropical place) which allowed them to exchange products. Afterwards it was improved by the Inca realm, and which was used during the colonial and the Republican times.
It is maximum altitude is at Chucura cove at 4.800 meters a.s.l. and its minimum altitude is in Chairo town. Along its traverse it's possible to find prehispanic ruins, mostly stairs, bridges, stone verandas, lodging ruins. In short, it is a trip along time and space.

· Takesi
Takesi pre-colombian road is at an altitude of 3200 meters a.s.l. going up to a summit of 4640 meters a.s.l. and then going down to 2200 meters a.s.l. It is a real art and communication technology work that displays for those who love going trekking the nature and eco-tourism, invites to the fulfillment of a beautiful dream in that region of the mesothermic valleys and Yungas of La Paz.

· Tunari Condoriri - Botijlaka hiking
Half mountain hiking that goes across the Condoriri National Park as far as Yungas including the Municipal Park of Wari Pampa.
Condoriri is one of the most beautiful mountain masses of the Royal (Eastern) Mountain range. It has the figure of a condor that dominates all the valley of the same name. The trek communicates the Condoriri mountain mass with the northern face of Huayna Potosi, a mountain whose highest altitude is 5100 meters a.s.l. and its lowest altitude is 3000 meters a.s.l.

· Zongo - Cahua Hiking
It's an easy hiking whose main characteristic is the change of altitude from 4800 meters a.s.l. to that of 2250 meters a.s.l.
This sudden change allows the hiker traverse diverse ecological floors with an impressive variety of animal life and vegetation compound of minute flowers of the Andean region and exuberant tropical flowers for their beauty of diverse colors and shapes.

Andeanism in Bolivia

· Condoriri Mountain
The group of picks of the mountain mass to be climbed up are: Ilusion Mountain (5350 meters a.s.l.) and the Chico Alpamayo Mountain (5400 meters a.s.l).

· Negruni Mountain Mass
The rising to the peaks of Jankho Huyo Mountain (5512 meters a.s.l.) Willa Llolje (5.596 meters a.s.l.) and Jhanko Laya (5600 meters a.s.l.).

· Illimani Mountain Mass
It has five peaks. The most important ones are: The Southern (El Sur) (6462 meters a.s.l.) This the highest elevation. The Central (6287 meters a.s.l.) and Laika Khollu peak (6129 meters a.s.l.).

· Snow-capped Sajama
It is the highest spot of the volcanic chain and the highest elevation all over Bolivia (6548 meters a.s.l.).
