Tourism in Samaipata - Santa Cruz

Distance: 118 Kilometers away from Santa Cruz

The topography of this zone varies from moutains, to hills and valleys. It has a mild humid weather in the north western part, cold and dry in the south eastern with an average temperature of 20°C.

This zone was inhabitated by the Chane indians, then by the Chiriguanos where the populators of this place have established a culture of their own called "Samaipateña".

It has valuable tour attractions, such as the archeological sites. The Fort, declared Cultural Patrimony of Human Kind by UNESCO. Remains of ceramic called tiestos and ancient sculpted rocks can be found. It has an archeological museum.

One part of Amboro National Park is in this zone.

It is interesting to visit, the Paredones, Barrio Arriba, Quebradas, the Fort, the Military Man, Cedral and the Floripondio rivers.
