Rurrenabaque has everything tourist wants. It is one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the world. This wonderful place is located in Beni, at 229 meters above sea level.
In this place live many ethnic groups such as Chimanes, Chamas and Tacanas. Tacana language is still conserved in this zone. Rurrenabaque in Tacana means “ducks lagoon”

Tropical Climate

It has humid and hot weather, with average temperature of 27 degrees. It characterizes by being a tropical zone. The raining season begins in October and finishes in April.

How to arrive

If you want to visit this wonderful place, you can arrive by land or by air.

- By land: There are many bus companies that depart from La Paz. The trip lasts from 18 to 29 hrs.
- By air: Everyday many flights leaves from La Paz and Santa Cruz to Rurrenabaque airport.

Tourist Attractions

Madidi Park: It is one of the most important reserves in the World. There live more than 1.000 kind of birds; 300 mammals, reptiles and hectares covered by a great amount of plants.

You can also visit “The Reserve of Biosphere” and “Indigenous Territory Pilón Lajas”, Beni River; where you can see beautiful landscapes and forests.
