Porvenir or Campo Ana has an indigenous population of the Yaminahua and Machineri ethnic groups. It is characterized for its prairie topography. Its climate is warm and humid with an average temperature of 27°C.

It has a varied fauna, the presence of exotic animals like the ant - eater, flag bear, the tiglet, the wild painted boar, the chichilo monkey, jaguar, tiger, and so on. Among the diverse flora in the region, there is rubber, palmito, nut, oak and marapa. There are abudant medical plants like cusi, grade blood, oje and cat nail (uña de gato).
