Tourism in Achacachi - La Paz

Distance: 96 Kilometers away from La Paz

It is located in the plateau and close to the Titicaca Lake. The weather is predominantly cold.

The Aymara origin of this town remains in ancient organizations that still are expressed through typical agrarian communities and particular traditions.

It is interesting to visit here the snow - capped Illampu peak and the Keka River.

The main celebration is the festivity of San Pedro, one of the few pre Hispanic and folkloric dance and music expressions.
